Flipside 200 (Black) is rated out of 5 by 9.Rated 4 out of 5 by Lafoncette from I Love the Flipside! I researched this bag and checked it out in the store before I got it and it has met all of my expectations. It's made really well - quality stitching and materials. After 2 years heavy use my bag looks almost new. I love the interior zipper. Having to shoot photos at carnivals in large crowds I never have to worry about thieves trying to steal my gear. I've taken this bag and plunked it down everywhere and it's been fine. I also love the added touches of the handle and the tripod holder. I'll definitely be getting another Lowepro and hopefully a flipside will accommodated my extra gear.Date published: 2013-12-29Rated 5 out of 5 by SnapperRon from The security of this bag is a valuable asset! I took the Flipside 200 to Barcelona and spent a lot of time taking photos in crowded environments. On one of these occasions I was tapped on the shoulder by a police officer. They had just arrested two men who were attempting to gain access to my backpack! As the would-be victim, I had to fill in various forms particularly as I would not be able to attend the court case as I would be back in the UK. I had been completely oblivious to this attempt to get into my backpack. They were clearly very experienced in robbing backpacks without the wearer being aware of it! They were arrested because they had spent more time than usual attempting to get to the contents and drew the attention of the police. Despite their obvious skill and experience, they were outwitted by a pack with body-side access. How many other attempts had been made on other occasions, I have no way of knowing. The important point is that they were unsuccessful and, consequently, I still have all the gear I took to Barcelona. It's comfortable, light and of sturdy construction. But the most important feature is that it is secure. The contents can only be accessed by removing the bag completely and I defy the most skillful of pickpockets to pull that stunt off without me noticing! I can carry my gear, my wallet and passport in the most crowded environments without fear of the many opportunists that abound the world over. For me, that is a BIG plus! I cannot praise this bag enough.Date published: 2013-11-13Rated 4 out of 5 by neversea from Almost a tardis I bought this bag because it was just enough to fit my D700 and a couple of prime lenses. Plus there is still a little room left over for other nick nacks. This bag made my heavy camera portable and I loved it for it. But now the big camera has been sold and I'm now using micro four-thirds gear this bag has taken on a different life. I can fit a couple of cameras with lenses attached, a few more lenses and still have plenty of room for snacks, drink and other things. The tripod holder works great for small tripods. This bag is quite narrow, which means that it allows your back to breathe well. There is nothing worse than going to a walk somewhere then taking your backpack off and having your back freeze. This backpack is quite comfortable. It's size limits the weight it can carry so it means you can wear it all day and still be comfortable. I use this as a day pack as well as something to drag around on my daily business. I fit a m43 camera, ipad, lunch and other stuff and I have everything I need for work. Bottom line, it holds more than it appears to, it's comfortable and versatile.Date published: 2013-09-15Rated 4 out of 5 by hurricanehank from Average It looks good, it doesn't take much space. Build quality is good just like in the other Lowepro bags and backpacks What I like: - Build quality - Materials wuality - Look - Compact What I don't like: - It doesn't sit well on my back. Feels like the bottom side has more friction when I move and it hurts after long day of work with full backpack of gearDate published: 2013-09-16Rated 5 out of 5 by PhotoSME from Great small backpack We started with a Nikon D90 and it's accessories and it was prefect. Then added a 55-300mm zoom lens and there was still room for accessories. Then the wife ads our point & shoot camera and accessories and the bag is full. It budges in places, especially the side pockets but the zippers do not bind. Have had the bag for 4 years and over time you appreciate the design effort, flexibility, all the pockets, and durability of the materials chosen for construction. The zippers are heavy duty and have never caused a problem. The wife loves how the back opens up to provide full access to the interior. Although we have out grown this bag, it did a great job for the last 4 years. We strongly recommend this bag. Never thought we would add a lens and a second camera to this bag which now leaves no room for other things. Guess who is in the market for a new bag....another LowePro bag. I have had 3 LowePro bags and never had an issue with any of them. Their great bags.Date published: 2013-09-15Rated 3 out of 5 by AlexDeSalta from Poor for wildlife I bought this bag thinking of taking my D800 + 300 F4 AFS Teleconverter + ready to shoot. Camera fits right. It's a shame not to bring detail as a raincover or holding parts of the straps left over, it will remove a lot of quality to the product mainly because when wearing a bicycle or motorcycle should not have anything loose or unprotected I have a Slingshot 102 AW and brings everything is a penalty that is so small for my gear but will return the FlipsideDate published: 2013-11-28Rated 4 out of 5 by Joao from Ideal for a short walk Compact bag ideal for a short walk. The main issue is the tripod support. I usually add another rope to fix the tripod properly.Date published: 2013-09-15Rated 5 out of 5 by IvoVuk from Excellent product I`am very satisfied with this product, easy to carry, security is great, and very well built bag.Date published: 2013-10-30
