Photo Hatchback 22L AW is rated out of 5 by 17.Rated 4 out of 5 by Anonymous from Solid, strudy, durable - like a pickup truck This bag is nice size, about what I expected. It is the of "most" backpacks. The material is nice and lightweight, but hopefully not at the expense of durability. It is made from a blend of poly & denier. The layout is nice but I have one tweak if I could re-design then it would be all 5-stars. I would allow for another 2 inches of depth so that a 15-inch laptop could fit WITH the camera storage box in place. (I bought this backpack to travel with my camera, laptop, and tablet. The only way for the 15-inch laptop to fit is to un-velcro divider flap separating the top main compartment and the camera storage box and slip the laptop down and against your back, in between comfort pads and camera gear. Not ideal because it will block access to my camera when laptop is inside, but will allow for laptop in travel such on flights when I do not need my camera.) Pros - Design #Sleek, color, contours and straps and of course camera storage. The Side pocket/holders with stretch fabric for tripods, water bottles, or small cameras. The weather cover is great, but doubt I will ever use it. But should I need it, it doesnt take up much room and its there. Cons - Accessory pockets are very average. Depth needs to be added. The bag does almost most things, not all things. Single stictched should straps, I hope they hold & last. Tablet/small laptop pocket is tight, not much room for even the case on the tablet (10.1"). Future improvements? - 2 inch dept. Also a gopro mount on front right should strap at upper chest for hikes/trips would be a game changer. More accessory pocket stuffDate published: 2013-09-17Rated 5 out of 5 by theDAVEphoto from Stylish, sporty, well designed I love this bag, perfect for advanced amateur photographers. I am able to fit my D90, 18-70mm 70-300mm 50mm 60mm and a flash in this bag, with room for a jacket, water bottle, iPad Mini, filters, SD cards and more. It is very sporty looking and very well made. I have been using Lowepro bags for years and this is by far my favorite!Date published: 2013-09-16Rated 5 out of 5 by Moonbuck from It fits everything and doesn't scream "camera bag!" I recently got this backpack as an upgrade from a Lowepro Nova shoulder bag. While I loved my old bag, it had "expensive camera" written all over it and I wanted something more discreet that could still hold just as much gear (it actually holds more). To my surprise, I can fit a Canon 5D with 24-105 lens, 50mm lens, a flash, and still have room for cables, chargers, etc. I can also fit my 70-200 lens into the top compartment when needed, but it throws off the balance of the bag with so much weight up top. I like that it doubles as a regular backpack with the camera compartment removed, too. Overall, I'm very pleased with this bag!Date published: 2013-10-07Rated 5 out of 5 by mkmcmaster from Great quality bag! I bought this bag primarily for my trip through Central America but I continue to use it as my primary storage bag. It is able to fit my Nikon D7000 with a lens on, as well as an additional lens and an external flash. Great padding and security. One of my favourite features is that the camera isn't accessible while wearing it. This is great when travelling through countries where pickpocketing is a big concern. The built in rain cover is also fantastic, I have used it on many many occasions. Love it and would highly recommend!Date published: 2013-09-19Rated 5 out of 5 by Yanstudio from Slim and stylish I bought this bag mainly for traveling, like the design is so simple and stylish, not like any other camera bag in the market. It can be my main day bag when I don't carry any camera gear. Love the slim design that can allows me to slip throw the crowd. The real compartment design for camera storage keep my gear safe and sound. Fit my D700 with 50mm, 20mm 28-105 mm lenses, flash, ipad mini and joby gorrilapod with no problem, and plenty of space to spare for my jacket, food & water, passport and map. Loving the bag and it will continue to travel with me.Date published: 2013-10-18Rated 5 out of 5 by MrPhoto from Great camera + all purpose backpack My Gear: 5D Mark III, 24-105L, 50 1.4, 580EXII, 2x Pocketwizards, batteries, cords, etc. Pros: - Incredibly lightweight, it barely weighs anything (a real bonus when carrying your already heavy gear) - Camera box removes and top compartment folds down and turns into a traditional backpack. If I'm out on a hike with the family or traveling and don't have my camera gear, I use this bag (1 bag, so many uses) - Has a place that fits my iPad 2 perfectly Cons: - Camera compartment is a bit small, I have to think about what gear to bring before a shoot rather than bringing everything and the kitchen sink. Overall, this is currently my everyday, go to bag. Perfect for hikes with the family, day trips around town and travel in general.Date published: 2013-09-04Rated 5 out of 5 by stew4130 from Great hybrid bag for taking a small setup with other non-camera gear. I've mostly used this bag for my GoPro cameras and accessories. But I like it for taking minimal 35mm gear when I don't need much (body, lens or two, memory cards, flash). It's great for throwing a sweatshirt or small misc stuff in the top compartment, a water bottle and sunblock in the side mesh pockets, etc. And I've even been able to fit my MacBook Pro inside it. The rain cover is a nice feature that will surely get used at some point. One feature I also like is the removable padded area and cinch cover. The option of removing that section adds to the hybrid abilities of it. This small bag offers a lot, it's nice and light, and the quality is good.Date published: 2013-09-16Rated 5 out of 5 by Jong from Great for everyday use and the outdoors, too! Pros: + Fits my small Nikon D40 with a 35mm lens, plus 3 more compact zoom lenses (10-20 Sigma, 18-55, and 55-200 Nikkors); and a SB40 flash unit; + very light bag and regular daypack design that doesn't attract attention and fit my small upper frame; + can remove the inner padded camera box (with handle and repels water) with DSLR gear and bring in the supermarket; + upper compartment is for the rest of the photo accessories, and battery chargers; + side pockets can fit a water bottle and an umbrella; and the SD card pocket really keeps my extra memory card; + AW cover protects gear especially from rain, and mud when opening camera compartment on the ground; and + front and inner pockets can hold keys and an ultra small laptop Con: (yes, one only) - the sternum lock is not secure enough that strap with the (female) latch was detached from the shoulder strap (and was lost!) in one of my trips and I can't find a replacement for it even from bag makers. This feature is important if I carry a heavy gear and for long treks so that the shoulder straps don't slip off :( but... I still use this bag most than my other LowePro messenger bags.Date published: 2013-09-16
