Rover Pro 45L AW (Galaxy Blue/Light Grey) is rated 4.4615 out of 5 by 13.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Finally a great trekking backpack for photographers!!! I've tried many and many backpacks to fold my camera and lenses during my trekking in mountain but never find a great trekking backpack, only photo-backpack without trekking features. Now I find Rover-Pro 45 AW and I will buy also Rover-pro 35 AW for my wife. With RoverPro 45 AW I can bring with me my 5D mkIII with BG, Canon 17-40 f4, Canon 70-200 f4 or 100-400, extender 1,4x and 2x and some accessories like timer and filters, jacket for rain, accessories for climbing and some sandwich for breakfast.... everything I need for my trekking and nature expeditions... THANK YOU LOWEPRO!!!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product but could be greater I do a lot of wildlife photography which usually means spending several days ay a remote location. I have tried many bags and this one comes closest to meeting my needs. It is very well made and very comfortable to wear. There are several 'improvements" that I would recommend. Personal preference of course 1) More individual pouches on straps or main pack for smaller items that require easy / quick accessibility such as flash light, GPS , knife, cell phone etc. 2) a divider to separate the main compartment into a top and bottom storage compartment. 3) a tripod holder similar to the style on the Treker AW. 4) an optional camo cover for us wildlife photographers!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great backpack, not so good gear capacity Very comfortable suspension - well built. Only problem is the two removable pouches, which just don't seem to carry much, given the large size of this pack, especially compared with other Lowepro bags roughly this size. Also would like, in view of the carrying capacity, to see more straps on the outside to carry coats, etc., and pouches for hats, gloves - more storage, in short. But overall a nice piece of equipment that I can make do, especially for long hikes. Best solution for that. They were very, very helpful in Customer Service, incredibly prompt - great company.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic product I went to Antarctica and it was of great help. Would only serve a divider between the bags and the container top. Tks Antonio Lonigro Italia

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic Hiking/Gear hybrid bag! I've used this bag on multiple epic adventure trips including a 4 day trek through the north end of Death Valley, CA, and another week long hike/camping trip through the Grand Canyon & Havasu Falls, AZ! While the Death Valley trip was largely car side camping, the modular based loading/unloading of the bags made it super easy to keep my gear protected from the dust and elements of the desert. The Grand Canyon trip included an 18 Mile hike from the Rim to the camp grounds....and on this trip, my bag was JAMMED FULL of camping supplies and camera gear for the trip! The straps and accessories allow for a TON of additional storage (ie, i had strapped my tent on to the bottom of the bag, Hiking poles for difficult terrain), extra water bags strapped to the sites, and much much more. So not only was this bag nearly bursting from extra gear, it felt fantastic on my back with the adjustable waist, chest, and shoulder straps for the ideal balance while hiking! I highly recommend this bag for anyone planning on taking some extended epic adventures around the globe!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Workhorse - Great update on the Lowepro Rover AW II I simply love this backpack and all its integrated features! It's been great for backpacking with and without camera gear. The only pack for serious photographers and backpackers! It also doubles as my kit bag for all but the most formal photo shoots. It fits an insane amount of gear. I love the rain cover and hydration-ready pocket. I'd love to see some modular pouches to add more gear to the waist belt!

I recently purchased a Rover Pro 45L pack because it's supposed to fit down to 16" torsos. Are there instructions anywhere for how to adjust the torso length? I can't figure out how to shorten it enough to make it fit my short torso.

Asked by: misty
Hello Misty, In order to adjust the shoulder straps for different sized torsos, follow these steps: 1) Locate the shoulder strap attachment system on the back of the back. It's located beween the two shoulder straps and under the back mesh material 2) Undo the Velcro seal down the center channel of the back panel (It goes down about 10cm down the back of the pack). 3) You can slide in a piece of paper (or use your hand) to keep the Velcro separated as you slide the strap system either up or down. 4) Push down and re-attach the Velcro once a desirable size has been achieved. Additional inserts

I've bought one of your Rover Pro 45l backpacks and I'm really impressed with it but I need more storage! Do you sell additional insert packs (like the ones that come with it) so I can house my second DSLR with it's lens on ready to shoot? Hopefully so... Ben
Asked by: Anonymous
Hey Ben, Currently we do not sell only the insert alone, but I'll mention to our product team that this would be helpful in your workflow.

There is no divider between the top section of the bag and where the camera bags are? If so, that is a shame.

I am likely going to get this bag as it is nearest to meeting my needs but there is one design error in my view and of one or two others who's comments I have read elsewhere on the web. The lack of divider means that if you remove the camera bags then need to re-insert them and use as a back pack again, anything in the top may easily slide down. Plus when the packs are inserted if you put food, say a packet of sweets or nuts into that section and anything spills out it could get into the small spaces between the camera packs and outer. A simple divider which can be found in other bags. There is a bag but significantly smaller than this one by a company that I shall call T - the top section has a very firm, protective open topped, 5 sided insert that is removable. So this can also become an "empty" ruck sack without any dividers whatsoever.

What are the actual dimensions of the hydration pocket?  Trying to determine if my existing reservoirs will fit well.
