Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best so far I've been using the fastpack 250 since 2009 now and pretty much every day, I always have my slr with me ( I'm carrying 3rd slr since I got this back). I have been very happy with 250, now I'm buying new one cause zippers are so worn out. Sometimes I wish that top compartment would be bigger, but then again, it wouldn't be big enough anyways, also I'd like to see a bit wider space to accomodate my slr(d800) with 500mm lens. I have have no complaints, and I'm going stick with this brand, next pack will be Fastpack DSLR 350 AW, then I can have a holder for my tripod too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfortable and affordable for every purpose Among lots of bags of Lowepro and other brands I find this one most suitable and perfect match for the variety of needs for a event photographer and also traveller. It works as moderate size back pack for person of any body structure to lift and carry. Regarding the accommodation it allows maximum flexibility for dslr pro, three/four lenses, flash, accessories and also accommodates a laptop upto 15". The most remarkable thing is it doesn't loose balance on back or even on one shoulder or kept on any rough and tough surface. It is waterproof under normal circumstances and has a perfect material strength. The unique feature of the bag is multi-purpose pockets and transversal zips with full zip cover. The not small not large back is must for all professionals and amateurs .

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great pack that holds everything Occasionally I go on trips where I will be taking photos and want to take my gear as well as my laptop. This is the perfect backpack to do so. It can carry a lot and do it comfortably. The only thing I would change about this pack would be to load the laptop into the pack from the top and not the side. Unfortunately, twice I have been distracted while putting my laptop in from the side and forgot to zip it up and ended up hearing a scary, loud crash which turned out being my laptop hitting the floor. Luckily only cosmetic damage occurred and it is my fault. However inserting the laptop from the top would completely prevent this. Otherwise, its a great pack.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A bag to take around the world! This bag has been nothing less than a partner in my photography. I've owned it for years and taken it all over the world: Turkey, Peru, Italy, France, Costa Rica. It has held up to jungles, deserts and mountains without fail. Hiking up 1,000 feet with 30 lbs of gear in/on this pack was as comfortable as it can be and my gear was secure. The side access makes swapping lenses on the go a piece of cake. It easily accommodates 15" laptops. I find room to store my full frame DSLR with battery grip and 24-70mm lens, a flash, 70-200mm, 50mm and chargers. Whether you're a professional on the go or a hobbyist looking to keep your gear safe, this is the bag for you.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Very tight fit. So my wife did a lot of research on this bag and others. She wanted to buy me a bag that would hold my nikon with my 70-200mm lens. This bag said it will do just that, and yeah it does. The problem is that it is so tight I am nervous that if it gets hit or bumped the wrong way I may brake my equipment. All they had to do was add an extra inch on the sides and this bag would be perfect. I have the same problem with my other lowepro bag. Just isn't made to hold a full frame camera with a large lens.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Backpack strap broken after 3 years I put Canon 7D with Grip, 17-50mm canon lens, canon 70-200mm f/4.0, and a speedlight 430 II, and a small laptop (1.2kg in weight). I only use the bag once every 3-4 months. After 3 years of using, the backpack strap on the left hand side is now ripped. It's not the stitches parts, but it's in the middle, as if the quality of the fabric was not thick enough on that particular part. I am thinking of buying a new one, I dont think I want to go with Lowepro anymore....

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A great bag... I like this bag so much I just bought my second one! I had to leave my first behind when I moved back to the UK and first thing I bought from a new contract was a second Fastpack 250. I can easy fit my working gear - Nikon D2Xs + 20-35, 35-70 and 80-200 f2.8 pro lenses; SB-700 speedlight; iPad, Moleskine, cell phone, GPS and cable plus wallet etc. into the bag. If I need to take my 15" laptop I can get that in as well... I wish it has a AW cover but apart from that... perfect...

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great For The Trail I bought this pack because I wanted something hands free and comfortable for long walks or days spent with my camera. A shoulder bag is nice, but for extended periods of time, I prefer a backpack. At the time of purchase, the AW version wasnt available. If I was to do it again, I would buy the AW version as it has the rain cover and a few other improvements. That being said, this is a great bag and well worth the money.

Question & Answer

Configuration of spaces of hte Fastpack 200 and 250

I own a Nikon D90 normally equiped witha a Tamron 18-50 f2.8, a UGA that can go on the space on front of the camera, a Nikon 70-300 VR that I would like to carry on the space below the camera which on photos has a divider and a flash to go on the space over the camera. My doubt is : the space below the camera, with divider on photos, is spacious enough for the 70-300 VR on the Fastpack 200 and 250 without the divider ?

Hi, I have a canon 5D mark III with battery grip, will this camera fits in che lower compartment with side access?

Asked by: Erat07
Hello, Unfortunately the size of the battery grip makes your camera too large to be considered a fit. For your sized camera with side access, you should take a look at the DSLR Video Fastpack 350 AW:

Hi, will a Canon 5D classic with battery grip attached be able to use the side access panel??

Asked by: Mikey
Hello Mikey, The grip on your 5D will make it too large to fit in this bag. The newer DSLR Video Fastpack 250 AW will fit your camera plus grip:
