Rated 5 out of 5 by LowePro Lens trekker - almost perfect I am a wildlife photographer who spends hour wandering along Scottish coastlines looking for otters. I have use a Lens trekker for many years now. All in all it's a brilliant bag. My 500mm lens or my 200-400 fit in with ease and the harness makes it a very comfortable carry. Getting the camera out in a hurry is made extremely easy by the wide opening front. The drawbacks - there is not enough room to carry lunch, spare clothes etc. I have overcome this by adding two pockets on to the sides. I would prefer if they were built in as the 'add-ons' tend to flap around a title. Personally I think the tripod mount is useless. It's too small to carry a pro spec tripod and anyway mounting a tripod down the side of the case throws the balance out completely. Also you can't have the additional pockets as well! I have overcome this by adding some of my own straps and mounting the tripod down the front of the bag. As a wildlife photographer I would love to be able to but the Lens Trekker in olive or better still Advantage Tree camo. If this isn't possible how about making the rain cover in one of these colours. I have bought a dark green cover instead. Despite these niggles i think it's a brilliant product and would recommend it to anyone. In fact I have and three of my friends have bought one as a result. September 19, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great bag for Nikon 600mm f/4 with accessories I have the Lowepro Lens Trekker 600 and it's a very good bag. It holds two camera bodies, a 600mm f/4, and in the main pocket holds teleconverters, flash, Flash X-Tender, and flash bracket. It fits well enough I've ridden with it on a bike with the 600mm lens and a tripod with gimbal head. This is not necessarily a light bag - but it's made to hold a big lens and related items. The little features work out well. It's got a handle at the top of the bag that stays out of the way but provides an easy grip when needed. February 23, 2014
