There are times when you have to carry it all. Pro camera equipment for shoots. Multiple devices for workflow. Accessories and necessities for travel. This next generation of Lowepro's widely popular professional backpack design does the job with ease, thoughtful organization and a modern, streamlined design.

  • Keep lots of gear in order and within reach via primary organization zones
  • Camera zone includes MaxFit System of dividers for maximum capacity and a snug protective fit; easy to adjust for all types of kit scenarios
  • Removable accessory case zips closed and serves as convenient organization for hard drives, cables and cords
  • Device zone includes dedicated spaces for a laptop, iPad® or Galaxy® Tab, and Wacom® tablet; CradleFit™ pockets suspend and protect devices from directly bumping against the ground
  • 3D mesh padding on the back panel, contoured shoulder straps, and removable waistbelt provide support to carry a substantial amount of gear for the long haul
  • Travel-friendly details throughout the pack help make the journey hassle-free: YKK locking zippers, front document pockets, mesh side pockets, adjustable sternum strap, convertible compression/trolley straps, SlipLock™ attachment loops, and a built-in All Weather AW Cover™ (in a zippered pocket) add ease of use
  • Sized to meet standard carry-on requirements (45 linear in./114.3 cm); to meet requirements, you may need to remove laptop, tripod holder and other attachments. See your airline for current size and weight restrictions.

Reviews
Pro Runner BP 450 AW II is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 11.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dream Bag I spent a ridiculous amount of time searching for a backpack. I was really set on finding a pack that was all-weather, light, travel sized with a lot of storage and a tripod holder. Thank goodness I found this one. Being able to compare bags was really assuring, I felt much more confident in my purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Durable and Comfortable I pre-ordered the Pro Runner BP 450 AW II for the purpose of an upcoming photo tour through Banff, AB and the Bugaboo Mountains in BC. I needed a pack to hold two DSLR bodies and 4 lenses as well as my filters and accessories. The pack must also be airline approved, be comfortable as well as being durable. During my first day in the mountains, I used the hidden rain cover to keep the bag dry during the heavy rain. For the remainder of the day it continued to rain lightly, but I left off the protective cover as it limited my access to the inside. I was amazed that at the end of the day, the inside was still mostly dry. (There were a few damp spots where the zippers were at the end of travel or mated with another zipper). On the second day, as I'd be away from the lodge all day I also needed to store my rain-gear as well as my lunch and 1L water bottle. I zipped my rain gear into the laptop/tablet pocket, and removed a Velcro divider or two to store my lunch. Worked great and still had room for all my gear, including a travel tripod clasped to the front. The side pocket easily held my large water bottle. The bag was very comfortable as the adjustable straps let me adjust the distribution of weight across my entire back, not just my shoulders. I really liked the strap lifters on top to keep the bag tight to my back while climbing through the mountains. The padding was thick and comfortable while not feeling hot or building up excessive sweat, even during my third day when the weather was warm (80F) and sunny. The front pockets were great for holding small bottles of sunscreen, bug spray, keys (on the included clip) and cell phone (though I had no reception in the mountains...) My only major criticism was that the water bottle holder is made of a light-weight "elasticy" mesh that started to tear along the bottom of my bottle after placing it on the rocks several times. Perhaps the pocket could have been designed with some reinforcing material on the bottom. The handles on the top and side were great for loading and unloading from the airline's overhead bins or the car. Other than the water bottle pocket, the material held up great to the jagged rocks. Since it is a backpack, you need to place it on the ground to take out any accessories. The color of the material still looks clean even after a good 20+ hours hiking through the mountains.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Design and Quality Manufacturing I teach in the field and lead tours. Purchased the Pro Runner BP 45 AWII to carry 2 full frame Nikon bodies, 6 lenses, speed light and accessories. Easy to configure, great to work with on the go. Ver smart design features with the separate pocket and outside pockets for batteries and cards without opening the pack. Sealed against water and dust, important for my safaris and travels. Comfortable options with or without the belt.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great bag for the biggest assignments I've used various large bags from Kata to Lowepro and this one is the best for days when you need your gear. I've been able to run two full size bodies, fours lenses, two speedlights and all the odds and ends required for a day shooting. The sides are deep enough to zip around the full sized pro SLR with a grip while another one is placed in the middle with a 70-200 f/2.8. It really does get heavy when loaded to capacity though.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Bag for Travels I bought this back several months ago. I've traveled from North Carolina to Montana with my camera equipment in tow. I have my camera, lens, flash, laptop, tablet, and chargers for all including my phone. I still have room for other items that I might need. In my travels, this bag fitted as a carry on in big or small aircraft. Lowepro did an excellent job when they made this bag.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for my D5 kit Top notch quality materials and craftsmanship. Comfortable on my back even when loaded down with full D5 like kit. Heavy duty zipper on the main compartment. Side (second) handle makes loading/unloading the bag a lot easier. Nice to have the rain cover in its own compartment neatly stored away under the bag. Recommended!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Overall great backpack for general purpose and outdoor use After a 2 weeks outdoor tour on Iceland the backpack had to proof keeping my 2 D810 bodies with 3 lenses and additional equipment safe, weatherproof and comfortable to handle and to bear. And it did! An absolute recommendation.

I have a Nikon D80 with a 18-200 zoom and a Nikon D750 with either a 28-300 zoom or an 80-400 zoom (still deciding). Also misc stuff like extra batts, mem cards etc. I need this to be ok for carryon luggage. Going to Africa. What do you recommend?

I see that the waist belt is removable, how big a size does the waist belt fit. Are there belt extenders available for this item? Seems as if these waist belts are not made for larger photographers, looks like the nation is getting bigger.

Asked by: BrooklynCamera 2104
The removable waist belt on this model extends to approx. 48". We do not currently offer an extension for this belt.
