Rated 4 out of 5 by For the right job and gear it's perfect. I really like this bag, but it's for a pretty specific job. I don't think I've ever felt the 35l was particularly limited in space for short trips (a couple of days), but when I'm packing, I do often wish for the 45l bag just for the option of carrying more. If you're not comfortable being limited to one body, a lens, and a speed light, you might want to step up to the 45l bag. This is not the kind of bag that will work for just any photographer. In fact, I would say it's really more of a weekend pack that happens to include a photo gear pouch. I really dig the pockets on the waist belt and the tripod straps on the side. I do, however, wish there was a small pocket below the tripod straps so that I could use them to hold a monopod; without this, I find it slides out the bottom. September 16, 2013

Answer:
Airline "carry-on" sizes can vary by airline, but the common size for domestic airline travel is a bag must be smaller that 45 liner inches (w+h+d). This bags external dimension fall within these dimensions at approx. 43 linear inches.

It's always best to check with your specific airlines for their carry on requirement sizes.
