Photo Hatchback BP 150 AW II is rated out of 5 by 11.Rated 5 out of 5 by Maude403 from Much more than advertised! This 'backpack' is so much more than just a camera bag. It carries my Nikon D5200 with an attached Nikkor 18-300 with strap, 2 filters + cases, a spare lense, 3 batteries + charger, 4 SD cards, and a cleaning kit. The top accessible compartment carries all my personal travel items for an overnight stay in case of luggage loss. In the two front sections I carry my iPad air and paper work needed for out of country travel. For added security use the rain cover to hide the access points. It is functional, convenient, light (even fully loaded), durable (been to Tanzania, Peru, Mexico, across Canada several times) and easily fits under the airplane seat in front.Date published: 2017-05-31Rated 5 out of 5 by Oleg Gekman from Perfect combination of light weight, compactness and practicality! Perfect combination of light weight, compactness and practicality! I use this backpack for 2 years. I've had a few, but this for me was the most favorite. In his travels, he is simply irreplaceable, his great advantage in its light weight and of course the modular system of the location of the office for the camera. You can quickly and easily separate the compartment for the camera from the backpack and use the backpack without it. The backpack is not very large if needed it can simply be put in a suitcase or large Hiking backpack. Roominess it is also just perfect. It even easily fits a medium format Hasselblad camera. This is the most successful model I hope the company a very long time to produce!Date published: 2016-06-27Rated 5 out of 5 by Joe A from Great for on the move I needed a easy bag for SLR and one extra lens, as I am always moving/hiking to destination as well as space for snacks, first aid and water - this backpack covers those needs perfectly. Its light, it does not "scream" camera bag which is sometimes a good thing in certain locales! Also, holds ipad or tablet (small laptop) in a very handy pocket but plenty of other things fit in there if I am not lugging tablet so it never feels like lost space. Mine has the rain cover that extends out from the bottom which has never failed me in over 3 years and countless downpours. Great bag!Date published: 2017-05-12Rated 5 out of 5 by Brett Freeth from Great Everyday Bag I received this bag as a gift about a year and a half ago and I have absolutely loved it. It fits 2 of my mirrorless Olympus cameras and 4 lenses with no problem with plenty of room on top for accessories such as lights/gopro/batteries/etc. Love the versatility and the comfort along with the security with the camera and lenses only being accessible if the backpack is taken off. Love this bag.Date published: 2017-05-31Rated 5 out of 5 by Groop from excellent companion bag I bought this a month ago and it was a little small to hold all of my gear, so I gave it to my wife and bought the Protactic 350. However, my wife has just a DSLR and two Canon kit lenses, so this bag is perfect for her. We recently spent a week in Hawaii and did a lot of hiking and my wife used this for her camera AND all of the other stuff wives need to carry while on vacation. She is very happy with the backpack's construction, easy access, and ability to travel under the airplane seat. I ordered the blue bag because I have a thing with blue backpacks (unfortunately the replacement Protactic is only available in black. Are you listening LowePro?) and after a week of crawling over volcanos and rain forests, the blue fabric still looks brand newDate published: 2017-05-05Rated 5 out of 5 by SkySail from Nice Day or Weekend Bag My primary uses for this lightweight bag are as a general day bag for around town or a weekend away, and to hold the overflow gear that doesn't fit in my main bag for the more photo intensive trips. I like the multiple access points, and while I haven't yet used it on this particular bag, I really like having the AW cover always close at hand.Date published: 2017-05-03Rated 5 out of 5 by jgknyc from Keep coming back to this pack! I bought my first mirrorless camera 3 years ago and got this bag at the same time. I have, over the years, bought other bags but I have ended up returning therm all....this bag just consistently does it all! Very well made and the layout is perfect for my needs.Date published: 2017-05-31Rated 5 out of 5 by Wendywoo from Agile days out I wanted a backpack for days out carrying a simple dslr set-up, water, lunch, snacks etc. I wanted quick access, protection and comfort. This back-pack does it for me. here's why. Three main internal storage zones organise stuff accessibly. Divide and rule! One zone takes larger, flat things like maps, a sit-mat or tablet. Another zone will organise and hold a packed lunch, purse, phone, keys safe on a lanyard, buff, gloves and on a good day, sunglasses. The largest zone contains a removable padded camera box. Once removed, the 150 becomes a conventional day-pack and you can leave the camera stuff behind in the padded box. It'll fit in some hotel safes which is reassuring. In addition, two deep external pockets expand to take maybe a mini tripod and a drink. Importantly for the fastidious, these pockets go flat again once empty. The base stores the all weather cover which serves as additional padding. AW covers protect against: rain, dust, mud and other stuff that flies through the air or comes off children's fingers. Camera-wise, I can fit in a Canon 700D with attached lens totalling 190mm in length. In addition I might put in a pancake lens and a PL filter, extra battery - small bits. The padding is thick and precious gadgets feel safe in there. I'm 5'3" and for me the 150 has a discreet, slim profile. The harness system is comfortable, simple and adjusts quickly. I can get the pack high on my back so my posture's good, and gear access is quick without taking the pack off. How? Here's an example. See robin. Unclip chest strap, loosen and drop shoulder straps. Loosen waist belt, swing 150 to front. Open access hatch and pull out camera. Point camera at robin and press shutter. Switch camera on and try again. Replace camera, close hatch, move to back and slide arms back in. Walk on, tightening it all back up again at leisure. Fast, safe, easy, like poetry in motion. I consider the 150 flexible and enabling. Mine contributes to leaving my vehicle far behind and taking more photo's. I've lent it (!) to a teacher friend who took a group of students on a field trip and needed to carry a camera but also a substantial first-aid kit and heaps paperwork. She liked the security of the camera access being body-side and the discreet logo that doesn't shout CAMERA! and now she's bought her own.Date published: 2017-05-06

Will this fit my Nikon D5200 with a 24-70mm attached and an extra 35mm lens in the lower compartment? No, I believe this would require the larger Hatchback 250 AW II.Date published: 2017-08-07
can the internal dividers in the hatchback 250's camera liftout compartment be rearranged to accommodate an Olympus OM-D E-M1 and a 40-150mm PRO lensIf this camera + body totals less than 7.6" it's possible you could remove or rearrange the dividers to accommodate it.Date published: 2017-08-07
Hello I'd like to know if the bp 150 aw fits an Canon 80d with an 18-135 sum lens attached. If the combined length of body and lens is 5.9" or less it should fit. If the length is longer than 5.9" but under 7.6" it should fit the larger Hatchback 250.Date published: 2017-07-27
I actually prefer the design of the previous version, but I wanted to know if there is any improvements on this new model besides just the change in the design (because if there is actual improvements i would consider buying this one)We added a dedicated storage space for an 8" tablet on this newer version.Date published: 2017-07-05
What dimensions does the camera compartment (bag/box) have? Will it hold an 70-200mm lens? The Photo Hatchback 150 camera compartment measures 7.7" x 4.3" x 5.9". If your 70-200 is the smaller f/4 version there's a chance it might fit in diagonally.Date published: 2017-06-22
How can I clean it? Wipe, wash??We recommend hand washing with a mild detergent and letting the bag thoroughly air dry.Date published: 2016-05-13
