Pro Messenger 180 AW (Slate Grey) is rated out of 5 by 5.Rated 5 out of 5 by Richard69 from Imperceptible and silent! The two main reasons for acquisition this handbag this spring. In first, this is imperceptible and silent. Finally, LowePro has removed logo from the face of the bag. Magnetic buckle! Material! It is a very important feature for me: skin irritation in hot weather has disappeared! Although I was able to walk and at a temperature of 50°C. I`ll repeat once again. LowePro products ergonomics is best! A separate respect for belt length adjustment system. No chance of spontaneous change of convenient current occasion settings! Sufficient capacity for one camera and a couple of lenses. Plus accessories. Great for urban use. Weatherproof cover not used yet. There was not a reason.Date published: 2013-09-17Rated 5 out of 5 by Stevo from There is no such thing as a perfect bag but this is as close as it gets My camera system has evolved over the last 5 years and during that evolution so has my camera bag. I can't even count how many different bags I've been through. I've tried all the major manufacturers and the bag that I switched from was pretty close to perfect for me but just wasn't quite there. It just needed a few refinements and low and behold the pro messenger comes with the refinements and then some. Every detail was carefully thought out on this bag and they would have to come out with something pretty spectacular to make me switch from this bag. The look, the feel, the weight, the functionality is all there. The strap and padding is like heaven. I do some pretty long street walks carrying some pretty heavy glass and the strap takes all the work out of it. The strap on my last bag was pretty good but the padding on this strap is better. Although my last bag had a rain cover, it was separate and if I wanted to carry it, it took up space and was another piece to worry about. The rain cover is built into this bag. I love the color as opposed to my other bag, much less inconspicuous. The complaint of my other bag is it just seemed a little bit to bulky. It was a very well made and durable bag but just a little bit to bulky for what it carries. This bag carries the same amount of gear but with less bulk. I always wished my old bag was a little taller so I could leave my lens hood attached; problem solved with this bag. They have a hit in my opinion with this bag. I won't mention the bag that this replaced but it has something to do with tanks. Good job Lowepro!! I think they are watching the trends and listening to their customers. It's going to be hard to top this one.Date published: 2013-09-15Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous from When on location or walking around town that's the bag i pick Using it with 5D III + grip (yes would have been nice to have it tiny bit wider). but it does fit. With a lens or 2 / flash ... it's an easy way to move around with your pro gear without looking like you are on an expedition to the north pole. i really like this one.Date published: 2013-09-16Rated 5 out of 5 by Kucku44 from Pro Messenger is a wonderful bag, especially for street photography. I use it with my Canon 5D Mark III and a couple of lenses. When I am tired and want to be easy with my camera, I send my Magnum 200 and Stealth 300 to rest and take out the newly acquired Pro Messenger 180, which I bought after reading hundreds of comments and reviews. Pro Messenger 180 is a thought provoking and cleverly designed bag and is just fit for walking in the streets of a busy town , even with a big bodied camera and a couple of extra lenses. I keep the power grip of the 5D attached all the time and I feel if the width of the main compartment were wider by only half a centimetre, it could make it much easier to send the camera to rest much more easily. Also I wonder if a little harder dividers could be a little more helpful in keeping the body in place, without trying to push itself down. It is very important to fold the lid in, in places where you are expected to be silent ! In the middle of a concert, I became the center of attraction when I tried to open the bag to take a lens out. People frowned at me as the velco screeched loudly !! So I learnt that at the first folly ! Pro Messenger is a centre of attraction for all. Wonderful to have one.Date published: 2013-09-15Rated 5 out of 5 by SimonPM from superb build , very discrete and great features I have owned and used a huge range of bags over the years and have several still in use to suit the job at hand, I bought this as a small general carry bag that wouldn't draw too much attention when in a busy city environment, normally i'd use a S&F 75aw toploader and lens case attached but it screams "big camera inside" this is probably slightly smaller and can easily fit the same plus another lens and an iPad, which fits in the front pocket (just) . The bag material and strap design are really normal looking , they don't look particularly hi-tec which add to its discreteness, and while we all like to show off our brand logos in this case its nice to see it on the back, again not shouting look at me i'm a camera bag. the bags velcro flap fixings bothered me as i was worried they wouldn't be so secure, in use actually they are fine and the magnetic catch is a super idea for easy silent access, however id still really like to see a proper buckle as well, just so it could be "Locked down" for times when you know you wont be going into the bag and just want that extra security incase it gets upside down etc. My only other criticism would be the front pocket could have been just a few mm bigger and an iPad would have fitted well, it does fit in easily without a cover as it is, but just a couple off mm extra and it would be perfect. i dropped a mark for this , if it had been 20mm different then so be it but just a few mm seems like they could easily have made it fit, even if its not recomended due to padding at least we can make that choice. the shoulder strap is well padded which makes carrying it a breeze , and side pockets great for a small drink bottle etc, there is also a loop just under the shoulder strap which fits any sliplock addons you might have it easily carries D4, 70-200, 24-70, sb910 +ipad and cables etc Overall, i'm very happy with it and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for this type of bag.Date published: 2013-12-30

Which internal dimension is the height? Will a Tamron 150-600 (11" tall, 4.75" wide) fit vertically when unmounted?Hello, The internal dimensions are: 27 x 16 x 30.6 cm (10.63" h x 6.30" d x 12.05 w") It would be a tight, but would technically close when unmounted.Date published: 2014-12-15
Is the flap padded on the section that covers the camera, if you had a D610 with a 70-200mm lens attached in it? (Basically will there be padding on the camera screen?)Hello, As with with most messenger style bags, there is very light padding in the flap. It does have a smooth dust resistant lining in the flap. If you need a shoulder bag with full protection, you should take a look at our Nova Sport line: http://www.lowepro.com/nova-sportDate published: 2014-06-20

Can iPad fit the front pocket?yes an Ipad will fit in the front pocket, BUT if it has a case it may be tight, i have an otterbox reflex case on mine and it just fits with the back cover on but not with the screen cover as well, without the covers it fits easily, however theres not much padding between the front pocket and the bag itself. a few mm more would make it a great fit, I have carried mine in there several times with a big pro body plus lenses etc in the main compartment with no issues.Date published: 2014-12-20
