SlingShot 302 AW (Black) is rated out of 5 by 7.Rated 4 out of 5 by carlfino from Great bag, but it could use another shoulder strap Love the volume and space for the camera and lenses. There appears to be a trend toward more bulk volume in the non-camera/lens portion of the pack. I like the space where the camera is, and this pack has it. The dividers are thick and protective, and the space is well thought out. The only down-side to this pack is that with heavy loads it becomes a pain with the 1 shoulder strap. I correct this by tightening the belt strap but it would be much better with 2 shoulder straps. The newer models do have 2 shoulder straps, but they've lost the camera area volume. Hopefully, Lowepro will come up with one having identical space for the camera, and 2 shoulder straps!Date published: 2014-01-01Rated 5 out of 5 by Stratman from I love this bag. It's my third and they've all been great I have had the Slingshot 102, 202, and this 302. They are all great bags. I loved the single strap that allows you to spin the bag to the front to access your gear. I outgrew the 102 and the 202. The 302 will handle all of my gear. I carry in the bag my Canon 6D with grip, Normally I have the EF 24-105 attached. In the pockets are EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 L, EF 70-200mm f/4 L, EF 16-35mm f/2.8 L, and the Speedlite 600EX-RT. In the triangle zipper area in the top I have my Canon 60D body and cleaning supplies. I have carried a full size tripod on the outside but ir really throws the balance off. The monopod works fine though. I still use my Slingshot 202 when I don't need to carry everything. If I was to make one comment/suggestion, I would ask that they package a few more padded dividers and additional surface area to attach them. I have robbed some of my other bags for dividers so I can create my own pockets where I need them rather than the standard locations. Lowepro Products are the real deal. NOTE: If I can edit this later I will add a photo of the gear all laid out to show the volume this bag can handle.Date published: 2014-02-24Rated 5 out of 5 by Maverick1854 from A great grab and go bag for long treks Great "grab and go" bag for when you want to carry a lot of equipment on long hikes. A bit small to carry more than one with lens attached, but one can carry a good assortment of lens. I originally bought this bag to carry all my equipment, but I now realize that a bag large enough to carry all that would be way too heavy to pack on long walks. Although a was disappointed at first it is now my favorite and I am getting ready to purchase another (because it is on sale at the store I normally buy from). I intend to use the two 302 Sling bags for separate single camera body systems as my grab and goes, and my Lowepro 500 AW Backpack for my main system transport bag. If you want to carry even more (on long treks on foot) I would recommend one of Lowepro belt and harness (or vest) S&F Systems. Although no bag is perfect, Lowepro seems to have the most solutions for any style of photographic shooting and transport.Date published: 2014-08-09Rated 4 out of 5 by kapekodder from Bigger is not better! I am reviewing the older, yet same sized SlingShot AW300. Yes, it does have plenty of room and good build. No, such a fully-loaded sling is not comfortable. Simply put, the distribution of weight on one side is more than I expected when I ordered the bag. Conceptually, I thought more was better. I sold the bag in "new" condition, at a loss. If I were to do this again, I would consider what I really need to bring with me and get a true backpack or a smaller sling bag. Probably not of the SlingShot series.Date published: 2013-09-16Rated 4 out of 5 by RushtonImages from Love this bag! Versatile and does the job every time. I've had this bag for just over 2 years now and absolutely love it. it has the room for all my essential gear and is very comfortable. I shoot in a variety of locations and the versatility and design of this bag make it very easy to organize and access my equipment. The one strap "sling" design makes it easy to get to your gear without taking the bag off, you simply swing it around in front of you and get what you need. Very durable construction and well padded. I carry the following gear in this bag without problem: Canon 5DII with Battery Grip 70-200 f/2.8 17-40 f/4 50 f/1.2 600 EX flash 4 memory cards Extra camera and flash batteries Pens, business cards, photo ID, notebook Safety vest Monopod Occasionally even and I-Pad mini and another camera body. I can't say enough about this bag and plan on keeping it for a long time!Date published: 2013-09-17Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous from Protection for my gear I have this bag, and my only complaint is if you carry allot of heavy lenses you will end up with a sore shoulder. This is all I can say bad about it. As for protection of your gear it is awesome. This past Labor Day we ran aground with my sailboat after something offshore struck and broke the rudder. The waves were pounding the boat rolling her from one side to the other rather violently throwing everything in the cabin everywhere. Lucky I had closed the zipper on my sling bag. The camera bag was thrown all over the cabin hitting the floor several times. There was no damage to my sony a77 or my Zeiss lenses. Would I ever attempt to repeat this as a test....NO.. but I am so happy the bag was there to protect my gear when it was the last thing on my mind at the time.Date published: 2013-09-18Rated 5 out of 5 by Scott from Great Design and Versatile I am probably not your typical photog, as I generally carry my Nikon D7000 and Tamron 24-70 around my neck, with my D5100 and Nikkor 18-300 in the one large compartment, along with a Nikkor 12-24 f/4.0 and Sigma 50 f/1.4 in two of the smaller ones. In the other small compartments I will carry my flash units, and any other goodies I might need quickly. The other three exterior compartments, the ones where you cannot just sling around the pack and grab your gear, provide ample room for my battery chargers, a blower, extra batteries, and other items of need. There is a nice storage compartment for extra cards, as well. I will note that along with a camera/lens in the main compartment you can fit 4 different lenses if that is what you need to do. The SlingShot fits very comfortably and, even after a long day of shooting, does not cause any discomfort. It feels very secure when wearing it. If you do not take a monster tripod with you (because of the weight), there is a strap to attach it. I would not try that with a Manfrotto Bogen 3221W but something like a smaller Targus TG-P60T works okay. Just keep in mind that everything you stuff or attach to any bag will add that much more weight. The quality of construction is excellent, LowePro does not disappoint. I have had and used this now for over a year and it still looks new. No loose threads, no stitching coming undone, no malfunctioning zippers. Highly recommended as a durable, quality pack to tote your gear.Date published: 2013-09-16

Does this bag allows to carry laptop. I am looking for similar bag which is rugged and flexible and allows to carry a small laptop.Hello, This bag doesn't have a dedicated device pocket, however you should take a look at the Transit Sling 250: http://store.lowepro.com/transit-sling-250-awDate published: 2014-09-18
Is there an available version of this which goes over the left shoulder instead of the right?Hello, No, the Slingshot and Transit Sling products only go over the right shoulder. You could technically wear it over the left shoulder but you would loose the ability for fast access as it was designed to be worn over the right shoulder.Date published: 2014-06-20
Will my camera and lenses fit slingshot 302I carry a Cannon 70d w or without grip. I have two lenses one of which I keep attached: Sigma 50-150/ 2.8 and Tamron 150-600. I would prefer a slingshot if possible. DanielHello Daniel, The length of your Tamron lens would be too long to fit attached on your camera in this bag. For your configuration, you may want to look at the Transit Sling 250 AW. It allows you to load your camera vertically which would give you enough room for your longer lens. http://store.lowepro.com/sling-bags/transit-sling-250-awDate published: 2014-05-05
