SlingShot 202 AW (Black) is rated out of 5 by 14.Rated 2 out of 5 by Colorado from Strange design I can't imagine designing a camera bag that can carry a good size tripod, but cannot properly carry a 70-300 mm telephoto lens. My 70D with 18-135mm fits fine, but the one other lens that I need to carry won't fit, except crammed in diagonally. Am I the only one who expects to be able to carry a camera and one additional telephoto lens in a bag?Date published: 2014-07-02Rated 5 out of 5 by gknoronha from It was an excelent choice as beginner As a beginner, Slingshot 202 was the perfect choice because it fits my whole equipment for a long time... and the perfect aspect for me is: from de carry mode to que the shot mode. Agile, fast, perfect. And big enough!Date published: 2014-05-28Rated 5 out of 5 by mtg176 from The Best Gear Bag Ever! I had tried several other gear bags, but when a friend introduced me me to this one, I was stunned! There is plenty of room for my lenses, accessories, etc., and even my carbon fiber sunpack tripod! The greatest feature is the quick access while providing tremendous comfort as I have journeyed with this bag through some very rough hiking terrain. I currently have about 14 lbs packed into it and it still fits comfortably and snug on my back while easily accessible for the quick and unexpected shots. I would highly recommend this bag to anyone! Great for long distance travel, hiking, sporting events, weddings...you name it. It will go with you anywhere!Date published: 2013-09-16Rated 5 out of 5 by alt2013 from One of my faves! I was headed to an amusement park with 3 toddlers and knew I needed something that would fit my Canon 7D and 2 lenses plus a few extra accessories. This bag was perfect for it all. I was able to easily get my camera in and out when needed while standing in the park. Usually carrying all of those things feels uncomfortable after a while, that was not the case with this bag. Got caught in a bit of rain but that was no issue with the weather cover. Everything was completely dry and working as normal. After 2 years, the bag still looks new. Great bag. Glad I decided to get it because for long walks or trips, this is the bag that goes with me.Date published: 2013-09-29Rated 5 out of 5 by JoeTheFlow from Goes with me everywhere I LOVE this bag. During a typical day my camera is in and out of my bag all day long. The slingbag design makes this so very easy. In addition, There is plenty of room for extra lenses, flash, triggers and filter. The only drawback, and it's minor, is that when the bag is full it's heavy and the strap could be a tad more padded. I highly recommend this bag.Date published: 2013-09-16Rated 5 out of 5 by Daniele from It's perfect For five years I use this backpack and I am very satisfied. I carry it with me everywhere and in all weather conditions. It contains perfectly all my accessories and my lenses. It is perfect for every situation.Date published: 2013-09-16Rated 5 out of 5 by Danababy from Great for on-the-go shooting I like having a lot of choices, and this bag allows me to have everything I need for most days, in an arrangement that's comfortable to carry & use on most occasions. I carry a Nikon D7000 with an attached lens, 2 more lenses, an external flash, several filters, a lens cleaning kit, lens hoods... AND my wallet, diabetes supplies & some small candies. Whew! That's a lot. This bag works well as an airline carry-on, squeezing in a book & magazine, also. I never have to let my gear out of my sight, since it fits under the seat in front of me, in coach class seating. The only drawbacks are that I haven't found a way to secure a (relatively) large tripod to it, and it's a very sporty look, so it doesn't work well in more formal settings.Date published: 2013-09-15Rated 5 out of 5 by ikon from This bag can carry an awful lot of camera gear My LowePro Slingshot 202AW carries the following gear: Nikon D600 with Nikon 16-35 lens f1.4 lens attached Nikon 85mm f1.8G lens Nikon 50mm f1.8G lens Tamron 70-300 f4-5.6 lens Nikon D7000 (in the top compartment with extra padding for protection). Plus all the usual items including spare memory cards and batteries, blower, soft brush, cleaning cloths, waterproof covers, lens wrench, head torch, compass, etc etc. It's quite amazing what it can carry if you take a little time to think about how to arrange the gear and making full use of the adjustable padded compartments. I bought the bag to carry a single Pentax K5 with three lenses and expected that I would have to move to a bigger bag when I changed to the much bigger Nikons, but to my surprise I still get everything in. Generally the bag is very compact and easy to carry and the ability to swing the bag round for quick access compensates for the slight loss of comfort resulting from the single strap. When the bag contains all my gear as described above it is pretty heavy and highlights the price you pay for a single strap design, but still for me, the compact size and quick access design more than compensates for this. I have carried the bag all day for several days plus a Velbon Sherpa Pro CF640 carbon fibre tripod with Manfroto head (generally carried separately). The straps which allow attachment of a tripod are not meant for larger tripods, not least because the change in weight distribution affects the balance, but it is possible to attach a medium large one such as the Velbon with the Manfrotto head removed for short term use such as travelling to airports and carrying onto aeroplanes so that all my gear can be carried as hand luggage. The quality of construction is first class. I have had my bag for three years and it is still in excellent condition. The only issue has been with one of the zips which did break but a new bag was provided under warranty.Date published: 2013-09-16

Just purchased, and surprised it can't be worn over the right shoulder. Isn't that strange, as most people are right-handed?Hello, It's designed to be worn over the right shoulder so that when you sling the bag in front of you, the camera is in the correct position to access and grip your camera with your right hand.Date published: 2015-05-31
can the 202 aw be worn on the left shoulder? But in a way yes, it is for the right shoulder as you can tie the given strap around your waist for trekking or long walks. And the D800E with the thingy below goes easily sideways. Love this bag!Date published: 2014-08-24
Will it fit nikon d7100 with sigma 300mm f2.8 lens attached along with 1.4x or 2x TC?Hello, No, the gear that you have listed is too large to be considered a fit for the Slingshot 202. We would recommend taking a look at the Transit Sling 250 in "vertical mode" for the camera/lens combo you have listed. http://store.lowepro.com/sling-bags/transit-sling-250-awDate published: 2014-06-20
Nikon D5200 (& battery grip), Nikon 55-300 DX fitted.Hello. I'm looking for a lightweight, compact bag for my DSLR kit. My chosen configuration is as follows: Nikon D5200 with a 3rd party battery grip fitted. Nikon 55-300 DX fitted. Nikon 35mm DX prime. I would also be able to carry a Nikon SB 700 or SB 400 speed-light and possibly one other lens (either a Nikon 18-55 kit lens, a Nikon 85mm or a Nikon 40mm DX Micro) Is the 202AW big enough? I'd rather not carry anything much bigger around.Hello, The battery grip will make a fit into the Slingshot 202 tricky. The size most likely will make it larger than the side access opening. You may want to take a look at the Transit Sling 250 for all the specific gear you have listed: http://store.lowepro.com/transit-sling-250-awDate published: 2014-11-14
