Vertex 200 AW (Black) is rated out of 5 by 3.Rated 5 out of 5 by laikaiic from Versatile, solid, excellent flexibility and great protection Using my two camera bodies for photography as well as for film productions, I've been looking for quite a long time for a bag I can take easily on trips and travels. The Vertex 200 AW not only suits perfectly well my equipment, it also is extra comfortable even on longer walks and fits easily my "hand luggage extras" when I'm flying with my gear and don't want to carry 5 hand luggage bags only coz of my photography equipment. When shooting, things are so easy to access and all is built to simply work well. For my needs - filming and stills photography - there could be 1 more pouch for memory cards and batteries. All other than that I'm very happy with my purchase. Oh and: almost two years of heavy duty use and the backpack still looks like fresh from the shop. - What else could you want?Date published: 2013-09-16Rated 5 out of 5 by camerapro from indestructible, cavernous, brilliant where to start ..? this bag truly carries everything, and more. This has been everywhere with me when I need to take lots of gear. It has been thrown, crashed, dragged, bashed and everything in between, and yet still just goes on and on. It is cavernous in design, with so many useful pockets, dividers, compartment and attachments: it is like a portable studio on your back, but is so well designed that it is very comfortable (and adjustable) to wear. It even has a quick release but very well held tripod holder built in.. This bag seemingly carries everything, (and yet more! like water bottles, umbrellas, you name it) has been totally abused, and yet there is no noticeable wear on it ! It just goes on and on. Brilliant design, build quality is exceptional; practicality has been so well though through. Even the outer roll out built in wet jacket. I use this all the time, and would thoroughly recommend.Date published: 2013-11-24Rated 5 out of 5 by area170 from backpack for any trip a backpack with extraordinary excellent conformation also perfect for long journeys. I wear during my travels for a whole day without any problems. The generous padding and rigidity make it exceptional against any shot may suffer. Very spacious accommodation conveniently located in the all'intreno the following accessories: camera body, Canon 70-200, Canon 17-85, 2x extender, tripod Manfrotto Compact Series, a compact camera, a windproof jacket and all the batteries and memory cards that you want, if instead let the stand outside with convenient media advances still much room for anything else you want. The intensive use of two years has not minimally affected so much so that it still looks new shop, also very good resistance to rain and something very important has the appropriate measures to be carried as hand luggage on the plane (who among us wants to take on the 'equipment in the hold?). In short, the ideal backpack for every trip.Date published: 2013-11-08
- Question & Answer
I need to carry the following Canon gear on international flights: 400/2.8L IS, 70-200/2.8L IS, 16-35/2.8L II, 1.4x TC, 2x TC and EOS 5D II. Will the Vertex 200 AW accommodate the 400/2.8? The lens is 37cm x18cm (plus another 4cm for the tripod foot).I've since purchased a Lowepro Vertex 200 AW and it comfortably accommodates a 400/2.8. It holds all of gear I mentioned.Date published: 2015-01-26
Carrying capacityI have a Canon 7D and travel with a 24-70 (ISO 2.8), 16-24 (ISO 2.8), 75-200 (ISO 2.0) and 100-400 (ISO 4.6) lens set as I often find myself doing both landscape/wildlife and street photography in the same trip. Will this bag accommodate all of that as while I see long lenses in the gear photo, I don't see any that have the girth of the 200 and 400's with hoods that I use.I have this 200 AW bag and it quite happily holds a Canon 70D, Canon 100-400mm IS L USM lens, 70 - 200mm IS L USM lens and the the 18-135mm IS STM kit lens. Plus Leica binoculars (10x42) and aCanon 580 Flash within the main body of the bag.Date published: 2014-09-26

In videos it seems a pro body exceeds the depth of the vertex 200 so when closed it seems to create a bulge on the backpack. Does that make any pressure on the laptop in its compartment? Will a Nikon D3S create pressure on laptop?Hello, No, this bag was specifically designed to carry pro body depth cameras with a laptop, you will have no issues with any pressure on the laptop from the depth of the gear.Date published: 2014-07-21
Does this bag have the ability to be used like a Slingshot 300 AW bag?I own a Lowepro Slingshot 300 AW shoulder bag that is capable to be swung around from my back to the front thus becoming a torso bag to gain access to the gear. Does the Vertex 200 AW have this capability?Hello, No, the Vertex 200 wouldn't give you the sling style access like the Slingshot 300AW.
