Slingshot Edge 150 AW is rated out of 5 by 4.Rated 4 out of 5 by Teamgold from full review - READ - this is my first didn't even pay attention to the 1 strap, i normally go for 2. but saw this online cheaper than the store so went for it no question. what i love most is the small size of the backpack, nothing overly heavy or large. figured if i need to run from a place i shouldn't be in, smaller is better, also will help with climbing anything or traversing in hard areas what i don't like is the inside compartment camera storage. it works, don't get me wrong. i dig you can customize it to what you need and how you want it, and comes with more mini divider walls than i needed so i don't use them all. but the velcro does not go far enough to elongate custom compartments. i am finding most images show cameras with large lenses storing small lenses but for real, how many people constantly keep a large zoom lens on their camera 24/7? but that's just me. so storing my zoom lens however, is a little difficult. i managed to do it but it does not lay flat, still tight and nothing will break but could be better. i also wish the zippers on the back went further around the backpack rather than just stopping at the bottom. i put it on with a t shirt and can feel them, i could always loosen or tighten it but messing with the 4 foot straps every time will get annoying (comes with ties for the straps don't worry), but i rather have 1 setup for heavy or light shirts. and if i don't wear a shirt i will feel it that much more. but they don't irritate my skin and it is not hugely noticeable but something so minor could have been easily thought of. i store my camera upside down because of how it is shaped, and where i put my zoom lens. i did not switch sides of where i store the zoom lens because the bottom of the backpack where the zipper is takes up more space, making it harder to get to, so i use that side for little storage for my rear lens cap and digital camera instead never knew of the larger version of this smh. would be ideal! my next purchase if i can't keep my money in my pocket overall, i like it, ~70 or so bucks for a light backpack with plenty of padding and accessible, comes with the waterproof case and 1 of few backpacks that holds the tripod nice and snug. if you want to spend 100 or more on a pack go for it, if you don't, i would suggest this one. i compared it to many 2 strap backpacks in the same price range up to 100$ and find this one has 1 of the best organization setups for storage, and how it is stored.Date published: 2016-02-09Rated 5 out of 5 by BossMac from Light, well-built, and perfect for many shooters Bought this just over a week ago to replace my laptop bag that doubled as my camera bag and so far I'm very satisfied. I like travelling light, that means I want my hands always free and the Slingshot Edge fits my needs just right. I can cram my 5.5" smartphones and other small accessories in the upper compartment while making the MLC gear readily accessible with a quick swing to the front. I have the Slingshot Edge AW 150 and its got space plenty of space for my a6000 with the Sony 50mm e-mount lens on plus a legacy Helios lens and the pancake 16mm and there's still some wiggle room and seems like a full-sized DSLR would fit in there, too. Build-quality is top-notch and the overall feel of the bag is superb. The exterior is sturdy with the inside pads really dense to protect the gear within. Compartments are decently sized with the dividers allowing customizable partitions for your gear. A few things to note though, a pair of extra dividers would've been handy and with the extra padding on the gear compartment, there's more space for a filter or cloth pocket which can also be used for other small items. The zipper in the gear compartment is also a nice touch because it goes all the way around but this makes tough in some shooting situation where you need to quickly get your gear and sometimes forget to close the zipper. You can make due by just opening it up a bit from the top and leaving it partially accessible but when in events with lots of people this isn't really a good idea. These are minor though compared to the overall solid offering of this bag. In closing, this is an easy to carry bag perfect for those looking for to travel light but still pack decent amount of gear for any shooting situations. Excellent build quality and the all-weather feature round-out an already solid product. Highly recommended.Date published: 2016-01-23Rated 4 out of 5 by Seamew from Very well built - Warning: Doesn’t fit the new iPad 10.5! I love this bag, it’s well designed, and extremely well built, perfect for traveling will your mirroless camera kit. I am a little disappointed that it won’t fit my new iPad 10.5” tablet. This was obviously designed before it came out. I will thinking about getting the 250 now, my concern it that bag will be too big for me.Date published: 2017-11-04Rated 5 out of 5 by Preny from Best Camera Bag Ever I have an older version of the Slingshot Edge and just love it.
