Slingshot Edge 250 AW is rated out of 5 by 16.Rated 4 out of 5 by Nick42 from Great travel bag I bought this for my casual backpacking trip to France as a first-time DSLR user. I actually forgot my camera strap at home so this was not only a lifesaver when traveling around town, but showed me I didn't even need a strap (with careful handling). Sometimes you just want a quick picture before stowing the camera again and this was perfect for that. There's also enough space for a couple books, souvenirs, etc. so it makes for a comfortable day bag. My only real wish is to be able to access the lenses from the side as well. Sometimes I wanted to quickly swap them, but you can't get at them without setting the bag down. Safer, but not as convenient. Overall very satisfied.Date published: 2016-06-13Rated 4 out of 5 by Lensman from Improved overall I have an older model 250AW Sling and I like it. It's bulky and heavy if I load 2 camera bodies, flash, tripod, charger, extra batteries, three lenses and filters, etc. I like this style of bag with easy access without placing the bag on the ground. I don't like getting the bag wet or muddy and I fear leaving it or losing it. So, I keep the bag close at hand. The forerunner to this bag which is the one I own.works well. Empty, it's light and comfortable when it's loaded. I really recommend it if a bag you can wear continuously is what you're looking for.Date published: 2017-01-19Rated 5 out of 5 by Tara from Perfect ! This is a perfect bag with enough space. In this (my) bag fits: Nikon D3300 with batterygrip, 55-200 lens, Samsung-tablet with protection, water-bottle, tripod (Sirui-oo5BX), Nikon flash SB300, sunglasses, readingglasses and some accesoires. Even in the upper compartment fits my Nikon D5300 with a Sigma 10-20mm also.Date published: 2015-10-31Rated 4 out of 5 by stefanogiovannini dot com from great for assignments. very stylish I am a recent convert to slings. I have a couple of backpacks that are mostly good from point A to point B. Messenger bags are hard on neck and shoulders when filled to too much stuff. This is great as I can carry 2 Sony FF bodies, 3 extra lenses, 2 or 3 flashes + batteries / cards and so on. It also looks stylish and not bulky. It is great for city shooting as the slim profile is great for riding a crowded subway and it won't make me look i came hiking from the woods to some event I have to shoot. Rain cover etc. Downsides are that I wish an 11" slim laptop could fit, as sometimes I have to transmit after a shoot (i have to choose another bag in those instances). There are sling bags that are more geared at accessing everything at once that may be better for hardcore street shooting. But overall this is a ver nice bag, and I am happy i bought it. Materials seem really good. Price drop makes it a great deal. Bottom line more comfortable than a traditional / messenger camera bag and more functional than a back pack.Date published: 2017-05-05Rated 4 out of 5 by NatPhotoGuy from Perfect for urban discovery or short hikes Holds enough gear for an urban discovery or short hike in nature. Comfortable to carry and easy to access. Not cumbersome or conspicuous. Space for iPad or small tablet is nice. My only complaint is that I frequently like to use my battery grip on my 7DMk2, and this is really designed for a camera without battery grip.Date published: 2017-05-03Rated 5 out of 5 by NTGator from Slingshot Edge 250 AW - Simply the best camera bag I have ever owned. Slingshot Edge 250 AW I purchased this bag on 5/5/2017 as an upgrade from the tradition square camera carrying bags. I needed a carrying bag that I could carry the gear I needed, that was comfortable to take along, and quick and easy to access the gear I needed. After receiving my Slingshot Edge 250 AW I had a chance to take it with me for the first time, not knowing what to expect. Well to my surprise, it was very comfortable, even in Florida on a hot day. It was very easy to place around my shoulder, and easy to sling back around to grab the camera, and the lens that I needed for the shot I wanted to capture. I am carrying a Canon T7i with three lenses, 10-18mm STM Wide Angle Len, 18-55mm STM, 55-250mm STM Lenses and three extension tubes for Macro shoots. Along with my eyeglasses, sunglasses, cleaning cloth, Lapel Mic, headset and tripod / mono tripod some wipes, and camera dry dust over etc. To my surprise it was very easy to sling around, open the case and grab my camera. It was also very easy to sling it back around to grab one of my other lenses to swap out, and it was very convenient to use the sling bag as a table top to rest my camera on, while taking off the lenses and attaching the other lens to the camera, then placing the lens back in the case and sling it back around. ( all without having to take off the bag, or place it down o the ground) On a 2 mile beaches trail hike, I did this around a dozen times for different shots, and it never felt like a hassle, everything went as smoothly as can be, keeping my camera and lenses secure and safe even while changing out the lenses. When on sandy trails, the last thing you would want to do is place your bag or equipment on the ground. This bag does just that perfectly. It was also a breeze to carry one water bottle in the side pocket, when I wanted a drink, I could simply grip the bottle while walking with the case on my shoulder, take a drink, and place it back in the side pocket without having to sling the back around. How nice it was. I have to say that I love this sling bag. Overall this is the best camera carrying bag I have ever owned, for the simple fact, everything is securely in place while still having fast, convenient access to everything on the fly. The quality seem to be top notch, very nice materials, and great stitching etc. The bottom line it is more comfortable than a traditional camera bag and more functional than a back pack. And having a water bottle is a huge plus when you are getting dehydrated. I would recommend this bag for anyone who wants to enjoy the day out and have the convenience of having all the gear right at your disposal when you need it. Fast, easy, quiet. Great for nature shots.Date published: 2017-05-27Rated 5 out of 5 by mailsmc from Love my slingshot! I have a previous version on the slingshot, and love love love it! It's so easy to keep everything right at your fingertips, w/out having to unpack yourself from your bag! Compact size but with all the protection you expect from a Lowepro. Bottom half provides enough storage for a variety of lens for whatever your adventure brings you. Top half is enough for trail snacks and hydration pack. Haven't used the tripod mount but looks sturdy.Date published: 2017-05-31
